Individual Attention

Intact Dogs

A lot of people think all dogs love to make doggy friends. The truth is, most adult dogs are introverts. Meeting new dogs- especially a big group of new dogs- is more stressful than fun.

Chamberlain Kennels only has 4 kennels. Your dog will get lots of individual attention from a professional trainer. You will get personalized recommendations for easy enrichment that your dog would like at home.

Many kennels don't take dogs that are not spayed or neutered. We do. Since we don't do play groups anyway- it's not so much of a problem. Females in heat will require an additional fee because they require a lot of extra cleaning and can cause behavioral problems from other boarders.

What to bring

  • Enough food for your dog's entire stay (a little extra is always encouraged)

  • Any medications your dog(s) may need during the stay

  • Any training equipment you use with your dog (gentle leader, e-collar & charger, favorite treats etc...)

  • Maybe a sleep shirt or pillowcase that smells like you if your pup might be anxious without you

  • Vaccination records- I must have up to date vet records before taking your dog(s) for a stay. Your vet may be able to email them to me prior to your dog's arrival at chamberlaindogtraining@gmail.com

What not to bring

  • Anything irreplaceable. Even if your dog doesn't rip up their bedding at home, they might in a new environment. If you send your dog's favorite ball, we may never find it again because we have 20 acres to do nature walks.

  • Bowls. I've got plenty and they can be difficult to identify when they all get mixed up during washing and sanitizing.

  • Fleas, ticks, worms, upper respiratory infections, etc. Your dog cannot board with any contagious health issues that could endanger other dogs.
